Little Blue Sparrow (Birdsong)

COMING SOON

In Melbourne’s leafy Hawthorn, this Edwardian residence is an exercise in the art of contrast, where the gravitas of period architecture meets a more daring, contemporary sensibility.

A grand entrance hall sets the tone, its dark timber staircase and richly panelled walls establishing an atmosphere of quiet grandeur. Throughout the home, original leadlight windows reveal delicate blue sparrow motifs, introducing an unexpected touch of whimsy within the formality of the architecture. Decorative moulded ceilings and intricate period detailing speak to an era when craftsmanship was as intrinsic to a home as its architecture.

A powder-blue sitting room offers a moment of ethereal softness, while a colour-drenched violet bedroom introduces a richer, more intimate mood. Rather than defer to tradition, these expressive interiors embrace it as a canvas for individuality, balancing the home’s inherent elegance with a confident, contemporary sensibility.
